Artwork & Design Submission Information
Our art staff can create artwork based on your ideas or sketches. You can also submit your own designs for us to produce.
If you provide hand drawn art please make it black and white outlines only. If needed provide an additional color copy. We can accept artwork created by a variety of artwork programs and in several image file formats. To save you time and effort it is very important that you read below and speak with our art department before creating any artwork via computer for submission.
All designs will become the property of Impressions USA, Inc. and will not be mailed back with your order.
Common Mistakes and Misperception About Website Artwork
JPG'S and GIF'S are the 2 main types of web page image formats. It is not possible for anyone to reproduce these web based images exactly. On a computer monitor these images appear crisp and clean, however, when they are enlarged for printing the end result is an inferior bumpy, dotted and pixelated image. Our art staff can use these images as reference for re-drawing. Art charges may apply for time spent re-drawing these images based on the complexity of the final artwork.
Guidelines and Information for Submission of Electronic Artwork Files
Accepted File Types:
Windows based PC file formats will work. Call for exact specifics if not covered here.
Adobe Illustrator(MAC/WindowsPC).
All text must be converted to outlines to prevent the need for us to have your exact font. Images of photos or drawings placed into and AI file may not be useable.
CorelDraw files may be used. All Type or Text must first be converted to outlines. The file must be saved as ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR FILE type, which is an option when you hit save, in a pulldown menu in the dialog window box.
Adobe Photoshop(MAC/WinPC).
Black and white outlines. Image size should be 4"x4" for small designs and 10"x10" for large designs. Resolution should be 300 dpi. Image type should be BMP(Bitmap).
Sending file types on disk, through e-mail or FTP:
Artwork may be sent via the US post office THOUGH UPS, FED EX or AIRBORNE is recommended. We accept 3.5" floppy, 100mb ZIP disks or CD ROM's.
Clothing and Apparel Options
Almost any garment can be screenprinted. The most common is the 100% basic t-shirt. Print size and print location vary. if you are looking for any item you can not find on our website or catalog, please call because we can probably get it for you.
Price Quotes
When using custom artwork, it is best to call us at 626.463.0035 to request a price quote. You can also request a QUOTE online, however.
Please try to provide us with as much of the following information as possible so we may give you a more accurate price quote:
* quantity of items
* type of item (t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc...)
* color of the item
* number of colors on the front of the shirt
* number of colors on the back of the shirt
* due date
*Important: Once you have made a financial commitment, there is a minimum $75 cancellation fee. You will also be charged an additional restocking fee and processing fee if we have ordered products to fill your order. Shipping and Delivery Times
The design you choose submit may affect delivery times. For best results we ask that you plan ahead to allow our creative and production teams the most amount of time possible to make your order the best you and your group has ever seen. One Week is the standard turnaround time for custom screen printed designs after Approval, but in a jam RUSH service is available for delivery in as little as 3 days. |
